The whole task needs 3 pages: Home, Product info, Checking out.
The key things that are important include:
1. The final design shouldn’t look like it was done quickly using an existing template.
2. The top of pages need to feature a layout that conveys a sense of feeling. It needs to create an experience. It’s more than a photo put on the page – it’s a backdrop/scene/setting for the whole site. (see pdf for visual examples)
3. Headline typography needs to have personality. It should be playful, bold, creative. (see pdf for visual examples)
4. As a visitor scrolls each page, the individual sections should feature engaging visual transitions. For example, organic shapes and borders, style that implies/shows depth, layout that “breaks the grid,” fun visual surprises, and/or animation. (see pdf for visual examples)
5. “Fun and surprising” elements in the design are important to us. This may include dogs with expressions or speech balloons (we sell dog health supplements), custom illustrations, or visual elements that are just “extra” and above what a reserved/stuffy Fortune 500 company or accounting firm might have for their web design. (see pdf for visual examples)
6. Visual communication is an essential part of conveying style and personality. This needs to be taken into consideration for icons and illustrations that are created. We want icons with personality. They may be hand drawn (custom/unique is best), be used to highlight key selling points, include multiple colors, and convey a sense of motion or energy.
